Data tech is a young and fast-growing team, the main IT partner of the e-commerce function in implementing quality data solutions and developing a culture of data management for effective growth in the online channel.
Accountabilities:
- Designing and using algorithms and building predictive & prescriptive models needed to automate execution and the generation of insights, to enable efficiencies that allow colleagues to focus on value added tasks.
- Collaborate with a globally distributed product/platform team that includes product manager, business stakeholders, BI, and data engineers, data analysts, data scientists
- Developing our internal capability to derive insights from structured data, unstructured data through location intelligence, machine learning, collaborative filtering, etc. to unlock new sources of insight that can be used to drive competitive advantage.
- Helping to define the technology infrastructure to enhance our data science capabilities enabling advances in our insight capability.
- Develop our existing tools to build greater simulation and forecasting capability, giving our business and our retail customers confidence that we can improve returns on current execution, asset deployment and activation plans.
- Delivery of key Advanced Analytics/Data Science projects within time and budget, particularly around DevOps/MLOps and Machine Learning models in scope
- Setup cloud alerts, monitors, dashboards, and logging and troubleshoot machine learning infrastructure
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Statistics or related preferred)
- 3+ years of professional experience within data science field
- Python, PySpark and SQL
- Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases
- Knowledge of engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous integrations, testing, and operations
- Nice to have: Knowledge of Web Scraping, Airflow, Kubernetes and Docker
- Ability to translate business and technical requirements into non-technical terms
- High-level written and verbal communication skills
