Tech Lead / Technical Architect

BostonGene is a pioneer company that uses biomedical software to identify new and personalized treatment options with next-generation multi-platform analytics, improving and optimizing cancer patient outcomes. We develop a distributed information and analytical system that provides oncologists with the necessary data for diagnosis and personalized treatment of patients.

We recently moved our Moscow office (400+ employees) to Yerevan and are looking for candidates to work from Armenia.

Team:
We are involved in the creation of an analytical platform that
produces a report for doctors on how to cure a person from cancer. Our team is one component in the process of building such a report. The main task is to store and distribute genetic data
calculated for each patient, as well as the generate the report itself in the form of web
pages and similar printed forms.

Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a professional who can analyze requirements and develop corresponding
technical solutions. Able to communicate effectively with various levels of project participants,
including technical and non-technical customers. Has experience working in a team environment and can align business requirements with technical solutions. Has deep knowledge in software architecture, including knowledge of modern architectural patterns.

Responsibilities:

• Analysis and clarification of requirements.
• Elaboration of technical design solutions for complex tasks.
• Development, coordination and fixation of design documents that describe the technical aspects of solutions.
• Analysis of the technical implementations in order to ensure alignment with the design and expected technical requirements.
• Identification of problems, prioritization and elaboration of solutions aimed at eliminating technical debt and improving architectural solutions.

Requirements:

• Work experience of at least 5 years as a Architect / Tech Lead / Senior Developer
• Deep understanding of software design and development principles, including microservice architecture.
• Experience in designing and implementing scalable and high-performance Java applications.
• Significant experience working with Java, including development, architectural design and implementation of solutions in the Java language.
• Deep knowledge of Java, including the latest language versions.
• Experience in developing design documentation and technical specifications.
• Experience in developing on Spring Framework / Spring Boot / Hibernate
• Knowledge of methods and tools for managing technical debt and its elimination.
• Experience in conducting technical code reviews and audits to ensure compliance with quality and security standards.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team.

Additional qualifications would be a plus:

• Experience with cloud technologies based on AWS Amazon.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with build and automation tools such as Gradle / Maven
• Knowledge of React and experience in frontend development using REST API.
• Experience in implementing DevOps practices and tools for automating development and deployment processes.
